What’s with the Name?

A Kollel is an institution for post-graduate Jewish learning; a Klal is a collective.

In Modern Hebrew, Kollel HaKlal (כולל הכלל) can mean “all-inclusive,” which is what we aim to be.

What is a Beit Midrash ?

Beit Midrash (בית מדרש) is usually translated as “House” of Study” and refers to a centralized place for Jewish study.

The term can also be translated as “house of seeking,” which is why we do what we do.

What is Chavruta?

Chavruta (חַבְרוּתָא) is a traditional Jewish method of study where two people learn together as partners.

The word comes from Aramaic meaning “friendship” or “companionship” which is what we hope to find.

“Études has saved us thousands of hours of work and has unlocked insights we never thought possible.”
